Hey, I'm Joshua.
I'm a software developer building Upstate Web Co — a small practice making the tools founder-owned businesses, solopreneurs, and small businesses need to run their work online.
Most of the people I work with don't want a logo and a website. They want a way to take orders, schedule clients, accept payments, send updates, and look like the operation they actually are. So that's what we make: websites, stores, apps, and the smaller tools around them.
UWC runs on its own pipeline — discovery, governance review, prototype, build, launch — and I work alongside a set of AI agents I've shaped over the last year. Each one has a job: scope review, brand voice, marketing fit, security, and so on. They draft, I review, you ship. It means a small practice can do the work of a much larger one without losing the seams.
Glad to be of your service.

Other things I've built
What I believe
Fixed pricing, no surprises
You know the price before we start. No hourly billing, no scope creep charges. If I underestimate, that's on me — not you.
You own everything
Your code, your domain, your content. If you ever want to leave, you take it all with you. No lock-in.
Speed is a feature
Sites consistently score 95+ on Google PageSpeed. Fast sites rank higher and convert more visitors into customers.
Always learning
Tech moves fast. I'm constantly learning — from agentic coding to new frameworks. My clients get the benefit of staying current without having to keep up themselves.
We practice what we preach
This website runs on the same stack I use for clients. My own marketing dashboard, agent system, and tools are built with the same technology. See the work.

"Before working with Upstate Web Co., people couldn't find us online. Now we get calls every week from people who found us on Google. The site paid for itself in the first month."
